• More than 25 years’ experience as a producer/director, filmmaker, camera operator and editor, working across documentary, factual television, commercials and strategic communications.

• Creative and editorial development, from interrogating a brief and getting to grips with unfamiliar or specialist subjects through to developing ideas, narrative structures, treatments and scripts.

• Experienced interviewer and contributor director, working with people from very different backgrounds, including senior specialists, high-profile figures, children and people sharing difficult or deeply personal experiences.

• Equally comfortable working as a self-shooting Producer/Director on small-footprint productions or directing larger, multidisciplinary crews.

• Extensive camera and location production experience, including documentary, observational, interview, commercial and multicamera filming.

• Very experienced editor, with extensive post-production experience spanning editing, motion design, compositing, animation and 3D.

• Offices, edit suites and comprehensive production facilities based near Newcastle upon Tyne.

• Camera kits include Sony FX6 and FX3, with a wide range of lenses, LED lighting, grip and location audio equipment. I have extensive experience operating cameras from most major manufacturers and can configure kit around the requirements of individual productions.

• Edit and post-production facilities include Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Blender and supporting software, with mobile editing available for location and remote production.

• Remote monitoring and streaming facilities available.

• Full, UK driving licence.

• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, registered with the Update Service.
